Your price and floor plan
How can you price my home without visiting it?
We use your apartment’s floor plan, recorded room dimensions, chosen work and finish level. Unrecorded measurements or site conditions are covered by stated assumptions. Check that the plan matches your home and review the quote’s assumptions and exclusions; hidden issues cannot be identified from a floor plan.
What keeps my price fixed?
Your price stays fixed for the agreed rooms, work and finish level. The assumptions and exclusions in your quote still apply. Any scope change is priced and approved before the additional work begins.
What is included in my price?
Your quote lists the rooms, work and materials included in your price. It also includes design, procurement and project management, overheads and contingency. GST is charged separately. Optional items are included only when selected and listed. Read the assumptions and exclusions alongside the price.
Can I keep what I already own?
Yes. You can keep existing flooring, doors and loose furniture where the questionnaire offers that choice. Select only what you need to replace or add. Tell Daali about anything else you want to keep, and check the final scope before agreeing it.
Why don’t you show a rate per square foot?
The work you choose matters as much as your apartment’s size. We calculate your price from recorded room dimensions, selected rooms, work and finish level. This lets you see the scope behind the total, instead of relying on one blanket rate per square foot.
What if my building isn’t listed?
Search for your building first. If there’s no match, choose ‘Building not listed? Share your home’. Leave your address and email, and upload a floor plan if you have one. We’ll review your request and help with the next step. Online pricing starts once the plan and measurements are verified.
What if the floor plan does not match my apartment?
Please confirm the plan with Daali before proceeding. First check your building and apartment type. If the layout or dimensions still differ, contact us so your price can be based on the right plan, including any changes already made to your apartment.
Your rooms, finishes and design
Can Daali work on a new or previously occupied apartment?
Yes. We work with new handovers and existing apartments. Tell us about existing work and access constraints when reviewing your quote with Daali.
Do I have to do the whole home?
No. Choose just the rooms you want to work on, then select the work and items you need. Your quote reflects those choices, whether you’re updating a few rooms or the whole home.
What is the difference between Basic, Premium and Luxury?
Basic uses practical finishes such as laminate cabinet fronts and granite counters. Premium offers upgraded fronts, quartz counters and smoother fittings. Luxury offers veneer or painted fronts and higher-specification hardware and finishes. Design style is a separate choice. Hob and chimney options are available on Premium or Luxury; air conditioning is offered on Luxury. These additions are included only when selected.
When does the designer get involved?
Your designer starts after you sign the contract. Together, you review the detailed design and materials for your agreed scope before the relevant work begins. Design updates and project progress are shared through My Daali.
Does my design style change the price?
No. The questionnaire’s style preference guides the design and does not change your calculated price. Your rooms, work and finish level determine the quoted scope. Later design choices outside that scope are priced and approved before they go ahead.
Are beds, sofas and dining tables included?
Loose furniture is optional. Choose the available beds, sofas and dining pieces you need in the questionnaire. They are included only when selected and listed in your quote. Fitted furniture and storage are separate and depend on your room, work and finish level.
Are kitchen appliances and air conditioning included?
Kitchen appliances and air conditioning are optional. Hob and chimney choices are available for selected kitchens on Premium or Luxury. On Luxury, you can arrange air conditioning yourself, ask Daali to install units you buy, or choose supply and installation. Fridges and ovens are not included in these choices.
Design to delivery
Who does the work?
Daali coordinates your design, procurement and site work. Your designer and delivery team work from the approved design and materials for your agreed scope, with decisions and progress connected through My Daali.
How can I follow my project’s progress?
Follow your project through My Daali. Your design updates, schedule, site progress and handover information stay in one workspace. You can review decisions needing your approval and discuss questions with your project team.
Do I need to be on site every day?
No, you do not need to be on site every day. Review updates and approvals through My Daali. Agree access, any necessary decision-making visits and the final walkthrough with your team, around the work and your building’s rules.
What if I want to change the work?
You can revise your choices and review a new price before proceeding. After the scope is agreed, discuss changes with your designer. Any added price and effect on the schedule are explained for your approval before the additional work begins.
What happens if a hidden problem is found on site?
We explain the problem and price the additional work for your approval before carrying out the repair. Hidden issues such as seepage, damaged pipework or unsafe wiring are outside the agreed scope where excluded in your quote. A floor plan cannot reveal these conditions.
Who arranges society permissions and approvals?
You arrange society permissions and any required approvals. Building charges, deposits and statutory approvals remain your responsibility and are outside the quoted price. Share access rules and permitted working hours with Daali so we can plan the work.
How long will my project take?
Your project timeline is agreed for your scope before site work begins. It depends on the rooms, work, design approvals, material availability and building access. If a scope change affects the schedule, we explain that when you review the change.
Can I change the layout or move walls?
Layout changes are outside the online quoted scope. Moving walls, beams or slabs needs a separate review, any required approvals and a separately agreed scope and price. Discuss your plans with Daali before proceeding.
What warranty and aftercare does Daali offer?
Daali offers one year of warranty and aftercare. Your written terms explain the coverage, exclusions and how to request support; review them before signing. After handover, contact your project team or email [email protected] for help.
Getting started and payments
Is getting a price free?
Yes. Getting your price is free, with no obligation to book. You can revise your rooms and questionnaire choices and review a new price before deciding to go ahead.
Is GST included in the price?
No. Displayed prices exclude GST. GST is charged separately at the applicable rate, as stated on your quote.
When do I pay, and in how many instalments?
You pay in four stages: 10% to book, 40% when you approve the final design, 40% when materials are dispatched and 10% at handover. Review these milestones in your contract before signing.
If the work costs less than expected, do I pay less?
No. The price is fixed for the same agreed scope, rather than billed against actual costs. Supplier savings do not reduce it, and cost increases do not raise it. Scope changes are priced separately and approved before the additional work begins.
How long is my quote valid?
Your quote is valid for 30 days. After that, material rates are checked again and any change is explained before you proceed. Check the validity date on your saved quote.
